Recently Brad and I went to Rock Glen Conservation Area near Arkona. Brad had been there before and we had been planning to visit at some point during the summer.
The highlights of Rock Glenn include Rock Glen Falls and it is home to many fossils. Onsite there is a museum and information centre onsite full of fossils found at Rock Glen. They actually encourage you to look for fossils onsite and you’re aloud to take1 specimen home with you which is neat.
They have a few options for trails and we opted to first head down to the river where we spotted a tiny turtle and then we climbed up all of the stairs back to the waterfall. You can also walk from the waterfall down towards to river
It was a nice outing and I am looking forward to coming back for a visit in the fall when all the leaves are changing colour.
