Smoothies are one of my go to meals when I’m in a hurry, pre or post workout or well just about anytime! Smoothies are especially perfect for the summer as you can use local seasonal ingredients, it does not involve using the oven and adding ice or frozen ingredients makes it refreshing on hot days.
- 1 cup of almond milk
- 2 ice cubes
- 1/4 cup of spinach
- 1/4 cup of blueberries
- 1/4 cup of frozen raspberries
- 1 banana
- 1/2 mango, peeled and cubed
- 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
Add ingredients to the blender in the order listed above and blend.
When making smoothies I usually do not use a recipe and just add what I have on hand and tried and true combinations. There is no shortage of ingredients you can add to make delicious combinations, so don’t be afraid to try new ingredients and combinations.
